The national leadership of the Democrat party is currently trying to run a content free election this cycle, preferring their platform to be “we are not Trump.” Despite their best efforts to date, and the mainstream media’s lack of curiosity, it is possible to discern from liberal rhetoric what Democrats would do if they capture the majority in November.

Despite the fact that reporters are four times more likely to self-identify as Democrats than Republicans, this is more than simply partisan patronage at work. Politico recently analyzed 2016 voting results and concluded Trump overperformed in areas with lower news subscription rates.
